WHAT IS THE WEATHER FORECAST AROUND ORLANDO TODAY?

Today’s high forecast: 96 degrees
The minimum expected tonight: 76 degrees

Main meteorological problems:
Abnormally dry air remains overhead this weekend. This means more chances of relatively light rain and plenty of sunshine. Highs in the area reached near 96 inland, closer to 90 along the coast. The heat index heads towards the 102 to 105 degree range during the afternoon temperature peak. Be sure to wear that sunscreen and drink plenty of fluids!

WHAT’S THE WEATHER FOR WALT DISNEY WORLD, UNIVERSAL AND SEAWORLD?
We have another hot and humid day at the theme parks. A rogue afternoon storm is possible on both days this weekend, but dry, hot weather is more likely. It will be a good day to cool off at the water park. Park visitors should stay hydrated and apply good quality sunscreen.

WHAT IS THE WEATHER FORECAST FOR CENTRAL FLORIDA BEACHES?
Excellent beach weather this weekend with abundant sunshine and a slight chance of rain. Sunscreen will be essential! Chances of rain are ZERO! The surf stays in the 1-2ft range as the southeast swell pushes in from the central Atlantic. The risk of rip current remains in the moderate range, especially in the late morning and again in the early evening.

LOOK AHEAD:
Although we remain on the drier side of things this weekend, that will soon change. Tropical humidity is expected to return next week and lead to an increased risk of storms. In the tropics….still quiet with tropical storm formation not forecast for at least the next 5 days.
