BALTIMORE (WJZ) — There were lots of clouds and much cooler temperatures on Tuesday.

Temperatures in the Maryland area remained in the high 60s all day.

The rain and drizzle continued until around noon as the wind continued to blow from the east which would also maintain cloud cover for most of Wednesday.

Any sunshine will help push temperatures up to nearly 70 degrees, about 7 degrees below normal.

By Thursday, a few showers could accompany a warm front approaching from the west.

On Friday, warmer temperatures and another front will bring more showers and a few gusty thunderstorms later in the day.

It looks like the front is still close and gives Maryland the chance for another shower on Saturday.

It will warm to nearly 80 degrees by then.

By Sunday and Monday, more sunshine and warmer temperatures will make way for a rather pleasant and drier Memorial Day holiday.
