The high will build in the Great Lakes, replacing the passage of an early morning cold front.

Pre-dawn showers will end before the sun rises and skies will turn sunnier as the morning progresses.

The afternoon will be sunny with just a few small fair weather clouds.

With the passage of the cold front, the winds will be from the northwest throughout the day. Wind speed will be up to 10 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

These winds will bring much cooler air with highs in the low to maybe mid 70s. The air will be dry with dew points around 50.

The wind will weaken this evening and turn gradually to the west. The sky should be clear all night.

This will allow evening temperatures to quickly drop into the 50s with an overnight low hovering around or just below 50 degrees.

Here is an overview of the weather forecast for the next few days:

Tuesday: Sun and clouds. Maybe an early stray shower. Morning lows near 50. Afternoon highs near 70.
